Uptown Linden Incorporated has served as the governing body for the City of Linden's Special Improvement District since the early 1990s. Our focus: economic revitalization, business development, and community pride along the Wood Avenue corridor.

What is a Special Improvement District?

A Special Improvement District (SID) is a designated area where property and business owners collectively invest in the district's enhancement, maintenance, and promotion. Funded through a special assessment, an SID makes it possible to deliver services above and beyond what a municipality alone can provide.

In Uptown Linden, that means marketing our shops and restaurants, producing free community events, keeping the streetscape welcoming, and advocating for the district with local government and partners.
